Spend three days nestled in the western foothills of the Allegheny Mountains in Elkins, embarking on 4 different train excursions and more fun! Carry binoculars to easily spot bald eagles swooping overhead while riding the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad. Be captivated by the beauty of native wildflowers, evergreens and mixed hardwoods of the countryside. Ride the Cass Scenic Railroad, the same line built in 1901 to haul lumber to the mill. Enjoy a longer ride on the Greenbrier Wilderness Train, admiring the more rugged, unpopulated region. Enroute home, ride the Western MD Scenic Railroad in Cumberland.

Day 1
There will be meal and comfort stops as needed on our way to West Virginia. Ride the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad today. Then travel on to Elkins, WV. Dinner this evening will be at a local restaurant.
Day 2
After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Cass Historical Museum and ride the Cass Scenic Railroad. Enjoy a sack lunch on the train. Dinner this evening will be at a local restaurant.

After breakfast at the hotel, ride the Greenbrier Wilderness Train to Durbin with lunch onboard. Visit the Green Bank Radio Astronomy Observatory. This evening, enjoy dinner and show at the Gandy Dancer Dinner Theater.

Depart the hotel after breakfast with a ride on the Western Maryland Railroad. Enjoy lunch on the train. There will be meal and comfort stops on the return home.
