Celebrate freedom! As the countrys biggest holiday, in this historic year Washington, DC comes alive with red, white and blue festivities and special events at every turn. Be treated to stops at Gadsbys Tavern Museum, Christ Church, Old Town Alexandria, Mt. Vernon, the Smithsonians, many memorials and the White House Experience. The highlight of the tour will be a private 4th-floor dining experience at the Canal Center Plaza, along the Potomac, Saturday evening. Celebrate the 250th birthday with dinner and entertainment celebrating Americas maritime past. Fireworks will be live-streamed but may also be visible.

Day 1
There will be meal and comfort stops as needed going to Alexandria, VA. Lunch will be at Gadsby's Tavern hosted by Martha Washington. Tour Gadsby's Tavern Museum and Christ Church. Embark on a captivating journey through history with a Colonial Walking Tour in Old Town Alexandria. Enjoy a cocktail reception at Tall Ship Providence after a Dock Side History Tour. Dinner this evening will be at Fish Market Restaurant. Then check into The REsidence Inn by Marriott Arlington Capital View for the next couple of nights.
L, DDay 2
After breakfast at the hotel, our DC guide will take us to The Air Force Memorial. Enjoy a White House Experience with a walk through Lafayette Park. Stop by the White House for a photo opportunity. Stop at The National World War I Memorial. Visit the National Archives. Walk up Capitol Hill and enjoy lunch on your own at the Capitol Visitor Center Cafeteria. Then take a guided Capitol Tour. Visit the United States Library of Congress. Continue witha guided monuments tour with stops at: The National World War II Memorial, The Vietnam Veterans Memorial, The Lincoln Memorial, and The Korean WAr Veterans Memorial. Dinner this evening will be at The Portofino Restaurant before returning to the hotel.
B, DDay 3
Breakfast will be at the hotel again this morning. Then our guide will take us to the National Mall for a Ceremonial Reading of the Declaration of Independence. (Bring your own folding chairs). Sit back and enjoy The 4th of July Parade. After the parade, stop by The Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial, The Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial, The Jefferson Memorial and the Marine Corps Memorial (Iwo Jima Statue). Freshen up at the hotel. Enjoy music and dinner. As night falls, watch the live stream of the star-studded "A Capitol Fourth" concert. Then prepare for the breathtaking firworks spectacular celebrating America's 250th Birthday! Depart for hotel.
B, L, DDay 4
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and travel to Mount Vernon. Visit the Ford Orientation Center & Donald W. Reynolds Museum and Education Center. Tour the inside of the Mansion. Travel to the National Mall fo rthe Smithsonian Folklife Festival. Enjoy lunch on your own. Visit your choice of the Smithsonian Institution's Museums on the National Mall. Then depart for home with meal and comfort stops as needed.

Visit the memorials and monuments, The White House, Mount Vernon and iconic sights of Washington DC. Free time will be available for visiting the Smithsonian Institution Museums. This tour will be much better than staying at home and watching the concert and fireworks on PBS!
